Hi Octavia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have always been into hair, make-up, and fashion with dreams to someday, become a hair supplier. It wasn’t until April of last year, I went into work and was told they were closing down our store due to the pandemic.

Being that I had invested 17 years with the same company, I was devastated which gave me the urgency to launch Beyond Beauteous Extensions. I took my savings, stepped out on faith, and now my business has been opened since the beginning of this year and is doing pretty well.

It’s my passion to see how women can instantly be transformed with the enhancement of my hair extensions as it’s very rewarding. I really take pride when answering different messages from women all over the world about my hair Extensions.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have definitely been obstacles and struggles! The hair industry is very competitive so my ultimate goal was to create a cadence around what would separate me from other competitors. The biggest struggle was having the capital so that I could order the inventory needed to accommodate all of my clients.

Another struggle I would say is balancing it all. I am now working full-time, I am a mother, a wife, and I am pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Business so as you can see, I have a lot on my plate but that is what keeps me going because I want people to see, that it can be done with dedication and discipline.

I am the owner of Beyond Beauteous Extensions, where I offer top-quality extensions at an affordable price. Before I launched Beyond Beauteous, I tested different types of hair textures from various vendors because I wanted to make sure my hair was only the best quality.

What sets me apart from other companies is simply this “If I won’t wear the hair, I don’t expect my clients to wear the hair.” What I am most proud of is that I built my business from the ground up, and is completely my vision, that I created.

With Beyond Beauteous Extensions, I want everyone to know that we as women are already beautiful. My extensions are just an enhancement that allows you to be Beyond Beautiful.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Yes, I have. This crisis has given me a different perspective on life and it has also humbled me. Instead of me looking and getting angry over the little things, even if they do not work in my faver, I try to find the silver lining and look at the big picture.
